Brett Wharton

A chartered Civil Engineer, Brett has spent his working life involved in the establishment and management of significant infrastructure and real estate schemes.
Prior to establishing Polestar, Brett joined private equity backed senior living company Pegasus Life, implementing a restructure and the leadership of the development team and portfolio of 40 high end senior living/retirement developments across the UK with a GDV nearing £1bN.
As Executive General Manager, Lendlease Construction, Brett joined the Board to implement a restructure of the business unit; bringing a developer focused approach across all phases from feasibility to ultimate delivery of the overall portfolio that included the £1.5bN Elephant and Castle residential urban regeneration and the mixed use site at International Quarter, Stratford including 4M sq ft of commercial office space and 400 residential units.
Brett established his development experience over 11 years at the highly respected and leading developer Stanhope as a development director delivering over 1.5M sq ft of prime commercial office in the City of London, Mayfair, and Chiswick Park, West London (named best workplace in 2006 and winner of the British Council of Offices’ ‘Best of the Best’ award). Brett was also responsible for complex retail extensions at Selfridges on Oxford Street.
